Zurich insurance adjunters complete TERA CAMPUS Technical Training in Electric Vehicles

The automotive sector is undergoing a rapid transformation with the arrival of electric vehicles. This shift affects not only manufacturers and drivers but also insurers and appraisers, who must update their knowledge to ensure efficient claims management and accurate technical assessments.

In this context, TERA had the pleasure of training the appraisers of Zurich Insurance with its Technical Training in Electric Vehicles for Appraisers and Insurance Companies.

The program consisted of two complementary phases.

First, the appraisers were able to study the theoretical content online at their own pace. TERA provided comprehensive materials on batteries, vehicle electrical systems, and safety protocols, ensuring that each participant acquired the essential foundational knowledge.

The training concluded with an on-site session at TERA’s facilities, where the appraisers could observe and handle electric vehicle batteries, apply what they had learned in practice, and directly address their questions with TERA’s experts. This hands-on experience is key to consolidating theoretical knowledge and preparing professionals for real-world scenarios.

Thanks to this training, Zurich’s appraisers now have:

  • Greater technical knowledge of electric vehicles and their components.

  • Practical skills for assessing electric-related claims.

  • Confidence and safety when working with emerging technologies in the automotive industry.

At TERA, our goal is to promote the development of professionals in transforming sectors by offering updated, practical programs designed to address the challenges of both the present and the future.

The Zurich training is yet another example of how specialized education can make a real difference — not only for the professionals involved but also for insurers and, ultimately, for their clients.
