TERA at Sustainable Mobility Week

Sustainable Mobility Week  is an annual initiative that promotes more sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transport, such as walking, cycling, using public transport and carpooling.

Sustainable Mobility Week takes place this year 2024 from September 16 to 22 and culminates with Car-Free Day on September 22.

The main objective is to raise awareness among the population about the importance of reducing the use of private motor vehicles to reduce pollution, improve air quality, and contribute to the well-being of communities. During this week, various activities are organized, such as workshops, bicycle rides, information campaigns, and street closures to car traffic, to promote a change towards a more sustainable and active lifestyle.

In Spain, the body in charge of coordinating this event at the national level is the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The theme chosen by the European Commission for this year’s 2024 campaign is “Shared Public Space“, while the slogan of the initiative remains “Combine and move!“.

Shared public space offers numerous benefits for society. In a place where people, different modes of transport and activities have their own space, greater social equity is promoted, road safety is improved, noise and air pollution are reduced, and the overall quality of life is raised.

Without a doubt, dedicating a week to raising awareness of the importance of being more respectful of the environment is strictly necessary. Well, it is in weeks like this, where people are more aware of the damage we can do to the ecosystem with our day-to-day actions.

However, many times, we forget that these actions should not only be done on the days of Sustainable Mobility Week, but that we should also adopt them in our daily routine.

What role does TERA play in Sustainable Mobility?

The way we move and the means of transport we use is changing, adapting to new scenarios so that society can continue to build a more sustainable and efficient mobility system.

TERA provides knowledge, experience and infrastructures to undertake the services of repair, replacement, maintenance and certification of the condition of the battery of electric vehicles. Therefore, TERA is part of sustainable mobility 365 days a year.

After-sales service in the automotive sector has always been key and guarantor in front of the end user, who seeks transparency and solutions. We will continue to need new solutions in this new scenario that electrification represents, and at TERA we provide them, accompanying traditional aftermarket players who are looking for an update and adaptation to a new reality to which we cannot turn our backs.

Services such as those offered by TERA, provide extra confidence to potential EV buyers, who sometimes have doubts and fears about buying electric cars.
