We are taking a step further with the creation of a "Network of Affiliated Workshops" for the repair and certification of electric vehicle batteries.
In a world where there are more and more electric cars, a question arises, where can we repair the battery if it deteriorates?
Currently, the number of car workshops that offer this service is very small, therefore, at TERA we have decided to go a step further and launch a programme of adhesion to the ‘TERA Workshop Network’ that guarantees a viable alternative that provides a solution to this inconvenience of the electric mobility sector. With this alternative, we managed to reduce the procedure for replacing electric vehicle batteries with repair, an initiative that represents a disruption in the segment of this sector.
“What we are looking for is that any workshop can offer its customers the service of repairing batteries for electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrids, expanding its capacity to attract new customers and retaining those who at the time decided to switch to the electric model,” explains David Santiago, CEO of TERA Batteries.
The idea is simple, to make it very easy for garages so that they can offer the repair service of electric or hybrid car batteries with the guarantee offered by a large company like TERA. We have recently launched a specialized battery repair center, and we continue with the investment plan of more than 1.2 million euros to complete the infrastructure of the Pilot Plant for disassembly and characterization, which will allow the completion of the battery treatment cycle by applying second-life recycling.
How does the membership program work?
It is a commercial network, at no cost to the workshop or permanence, where all those interested only have to register on their website and are automatically included in the list of the TERA Workshop Network. From that moment on, they will be able to offer their customers the repair service of electric or hybrid car batteries without the need to condition their facilities to handle the batteries and without blocking the space in their workshop, where they will be able to continue with their usual pace of work, since the repairs are carried out at the TERA Batteries facilities. a unique specialised centre in Spain, adapted to current regulations, with a surface area of 2,000 m² and where they apply the most advanced technology for the diagnosis and handling of electric vehicle batteries.
“We are a service in operation for workshops that is specialized in batteries. We want to create an ecosystem where we can meet all the needs related to sustainable mobility and for this we are forming a network of affiliated workshops throughout Spain to meet the demand that any consumer may have regarding the new reality we are living in the automotive and mobility sector,” explains David Santiago.
Commitment to a sustainable mobility ecosystem
Sustainability is one of the main focuses of TERA Batteries, through the creation of an ecosystem in which recycling is promoted and the circular economy is promoted, where according to David Santiago:
“TERA is focused on facilitating this option in a network of workshops throughout Spain and also guaranteeing the possibility that end users can easily consult the nearest workshop where they can repair their vehicle. This whole process undoubtedly leads to a greater commitment to recycling, giving these batteries that second life and reusing what we already have at our disposal, in a more economical, simple and, of course, respectful way with our environment”.
