An international recognition that strengthens our vision
At TERA, we are proud to announce that we have been nominated for the Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 Innovation Awards, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the global automotive industry. Our nomination has been shortlisted in the Smart Workshop & Service Solutions category, an achievement that highlights the work we have been carrying out for years to transform the way electric vehicle batteries are diagnosed, repaired and managed.
Being one of the companies selected from 185 international entries is an important recognition of our commitment to innovation, technology and sustainability. It also confirms that advanced industrial solutions for electric mobility can be developed and led from Spain.
Our approach to transforming battery repair
The nomination recognises our project, TERA Batteries Smart Workshop & Service Hub for EV Batteries, an industrial model that brings together all the processes required to maximise the value of lithium-ion batteries within a single facility.
At our industrial plant, we carry out a comprehensive process covering battery diagnosis, characterisation, repair, refurbishment and valorisation, providing a technical and sustainable alternative to the complete replacement of battery packs.
Our objective is clear: to extend the service life of batteries whenever possible and ensure that each battery receives the most appropriate treatment according to its condition.
Artificial intelligence supporting battery diagnostics
One of the key elements behind this nomination is the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision and advanced data analysis algorithms into our industrial processes.
Thanks to these technologies, we are able to determine a battery’s State of Health (SOH) in just a few minutes. This allows us to make faster and more accurate decisions about whether a battery should be repaired, reused, repurposed for a second-life application or recycled.
This capability reduces intervention times, improves process efficiency and optimises the use of resources, which is especially important in a sector where batteries represent one of the highest-value technological and economic components.

A model committed to the circular economy
At TERA, we believe that the future of electric mobility does not depend solely on manufacturing new batteries, but also on managing existing ones responsibly.
For this reason, our model integrates digital tools that ensure complete traceability throughout the entire lifecycle of every battery. These include our digital battery valuation system and the Digital Battery Passport, which records and provides access to key information for each individual battery.
This integrated approach makes it possible to repair damaged modules and battery packs whenever technically feasible, reduces the demand for critical raw materials and directly contributes to the development of a circular economy for electric mobility.
A partnership that strengthens our technological capabilities
Our progress over the past few years has also been made possible through strategic collaborations with internationally recognised companies.
In this regard, our partnership with NING SERVICE, part of CATL’s global maintenance network and one of the world’s largest battery manufacturers, further strengthens our technical capabilities in providing specialised maintenance and repair solutions for electric vehicle batteries.
This collaboration enables us to continue incorporating expertise, procedures and cutting-edge technology to further enhance our industrial processes.
Automechanika Frankfurt, the leading international showcase
The winners of the Innovation Awards will be announced on 8 September, coinciding with the opening of Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive aftermarket industry.
Every two years, the exhibition brings together manufacturers, distributors, workshops, technology companies and professionals from more than one hundred countries, making it the global showcase for the innovations that will shape the future of the sector.
For us, being shortlisted is already a recognition of the work we have accomplished and an opportunity to present the technology developed at our facilities to the international market.
In addition, we will participate as part of the PCEX Group exhibition space, alongside PCEX Automotive and SiaTruck, demonstrating how the combination of international distribution, technological innovation and specialised services enables us to provide comprehensive solutions for the automotive industry and the new era of electric mobility.
Continuing to drive the future of mobility
This nomination represents another step forward in our commitment to innovation and confirms that the work we are carrying out at TERA is helping to transform the electric mobility sector.
We will continue investing in technology, artificial intelligence and industrial processes that deliver more efficient, sustainable and market-oriented solutions. Our objective remains unchanged: to maximise the value of batteries throughout their entire lifecycle and accelerate the transition towards more sustainable mobility.
At TERA, we put this innovation at the service of our customers through electric mobility solutions, electric vehicle battery diagnosis and repair, battery manufacturing and refurbishment, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and specialised electric vehicle training, helping businesses and professionals confidently meet the challenges of the new mobility landscape.distribution, advanced technology and innovative mobility services.
